India Public Library Research
This blog chronicles a couple of research trips to India during January to March 2008 and January to February 2009. The blog provides some observations, insights, and reflections with regard to the evolving roles of Indian public libraries in community information provision. Funding was provided by a Faculty of Information and Media Studies (FIMS) Internal Grant and an International Research Award, both from the University of Western Ontario.
A Note About Blog Posts
This blog originally started as a periodic chronicle of a research trip in India from January to March 2008. After a few posts, this ambitious goal of blogging on a regular basis from the "field" remained just that....a goal. Since then I am periodically posting some updates and reflections from the research trip, as well as general observations about the state of India's public libraries. So, posts are not necessarily in chronological order.
